In my heart, I weep for the people of this world

I have compassion and pray for them

in the suffering from wars

in the depraved modern form of slavery called human trafficking

in the depths of Hate being taught to new generations

in the absolute corruption of the so-called leaders

in the Lives wasted and the Souls growing cold

You won’t see it on my face

but in my heart, I weep

About the author

Allen Steadham is a nondenominational Christian. Happily interracially married since 1995 and the proud father of two sons and a daughter. He and his wife have been in the same Christian band since 1997. He plays electric bass, she plays strings, they both sing. It's all good.
