I made a teaser trailer for Shadows Of Their Hearts, Book Two in my (Christian steampunk) Steam & Mettle series set in the present day on an alternate Earth. It features an autistic, biracial, plus-sized female main character. I got about 80 to 90 percent done with the first draft in 2022. Now I’m working on revisions and plan to complete it.

sI learned this morning that Morgan Spurlock passed away yesterday (May 23, 2024) from cancer at the age of 53. Morgan created the Super Size Me documentary in 2003 and many other projects after that.
I met Morgan in 2003 when he was making the documentary. At the time, I was the director of a not-for-profit size acceptance organization (the International Size Acceptance Association or ISAA) and Morgan asked to interview me and Gia Melissa Marciano for the film. Our part ended up being removed from the final cut of the documentary and that ended up being a blessing in disguise. Even so, I remained friends with Morgan for a few years after that until we eventually lost touch.
It wasn't until 2017 that Morgan admitted to the world that his whole premise for Super Size Me had been a lie due to his neglecting to disclose his chronic alcoholism. None of his medical readings had been accurate throughout the film. In addition, Morgan publicly admitted to his harmful behaviors with women over the years and essentially cancelled himself, stepping down from his own production company. Then he fought cancer. Morgan is survived by two ex-wives and two sons from those marriages. My condolences to his family.
This 8-minute segment is from The ISAA Rapport, an audio podcast (before they were called podcasts) I co-hosted with Gia from 2002 to 2004. Gia and I talked about our experience with the filmmaker and I think it's worth a listen. It's not disparaging, especially about Morgan. Thanks.

Updated trailer for one of my works-in-progress, Resisting Utopia (Book 2 in the Pavfarah Utopia Series). Christian dystopian sci-fi. I really like the music on this one, it has a bit of a Murray Gold feel in places (Murray Gold did some well-known modern Doctor Who compositions for the TV show).

Full book trailer for Aria, the sequel to my 2022 Christian fiction romance, The Former Things. Like that book, this is slice-of-life. Aria is a Young Adult (YA) novel but anyone teen or up will be able to read it. Feedback on the trailer is welcome!

I used Canva A.I. to make some art of supporting characters from my Christian fiction superhero thriller novel Mindfire.
Dana is the superhero known as Black Fox. She is a werefox and has the proportionate strength, speed, healing, and enhanced senses of a fox. She was a co-founder of the AR-MEN superhero team and has continued as a superhero even after the group disbanded. She has an adult son named Dane. She is training him to follow her example.
Dane is 21 years old and a superhero-in-training whose code name is Shadow. He is biracial. His father, John Covington, was also the superhero known as Silver Knight. John died before Dana learned she was pregnant with his child. Dane is also a gamer who likes the online MMO called War Blades 9000.
Misha is Leia's best friend and her coworker at Skippy's Pizza. She is a fellow college student and has no superpowers.
Tanya is Leia's 15-year-old half-sister. Her parents are Steve and Sue Hamilton. She loves and is very supportive of her sister. Once she learns of Leia's superpowers, she yearns to have powers of her own.
About the author
