One of the most profound scenes in Allen Steadham's Mindfire (A Christian fiction superhero thriller novel) is between the main character Leia's estranged parents. Her father was the superhero Crusader and her biological mother is the supervillain Malevolence (who hasn't been in their lives for 20 years). At one point, the two of them meet and are able to have a heartfelt talk. It's not romantic, just reminiscing without all the bitterness.
